The research behind Songwright. Systematic experimentation with source-first production methods, translating the vocabulary of professional composition into descriptors these models can act on. The patterns that emerged became a product.
I've spent 17 years designing music systems for games at PlayStation Studios — scores for The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Journey. Grammy-nominated, BAFTA-recognized work that taught me one thing above all else: the best music happens when you build the right system and then get out of its way.
Back Pocket Music is where that philosophy lives outside the studio. I build tools at the intersection of music theory, acoustics, and AI — not to replace the composer, but to remove the friction between the idea and the sound.
